ISS wins contract with the University of Newcastle

ISS Facility Services Australia has won a contract with the University of Newcastle (UON) to provide all cleaning and hygiene services across its campuses in northern New South Wales.

On Sunday 1 October 2017, ISS commenced services to 14 sites including the main campuses in Callaghan and Ourimbah as well as regional locations.

“The University of Newcastle represents a significant win for ISS, as our tertiary education portfolio goes from strength to strength, particularly in NSW,” said ISS executive general manager Andrew Weaver.

“We are confident we can replicate our successful operations into a tailored model for UON and develop a close and collaborative working relationship with the university”.

Established in 1965, the University of Newcastle is ranked in the top 1 per cent of universities in the world. More than 37,000 students study at the university – including more than 6900 international students from 115 countries.
